1. Intro

The charger that Corbin Motors (and subsequently Myers Motors) chose for the Sparrow leaves a lot to be desired. It can cause the batteries to die quickly due to "out-gassing." It's also not particularly adjustable. See the main Charger section for more details.

2. Zivan V10 Modification

The simplest modification for most Corbin Sparrows involves installing a "V10" EPROM along with one or more additional temperature sensors. This allows the charger to use a less destructive charging algorithm. See the main Charger section, where this is described, as Myers Motors ships with these chips.
